The Inner Child: A Healing Guide
Somewhere inside you, the child you once were is still alive. Still carrying what they felt, still hoping someone will finally turn toward them. We like to think we leave childhood behind. We do not. The child lives on in the nervous system, in our reflexes, in the way we love and protect ourselves.
